Faith Under Fire

    I can remember like it was yesterday standing in front of the fireplace to warm my hand and legs on a cold winter day. My grandfather would always have the den warm and toasty for us when we came in from outside playing. Our family would sit in the den for hours and watch the fire and listen to it crackle. Sometimes the the fire would die down, but my paw paw had a remedy for that. Just outside the door he kept a wheelbarrow with some pine wood which he used to ignite the fire again. In a matter of seconds the fire would be backing burning fierce.
     And sometimes our faith is just like my grandfather's fire, extremely hot and it slowly fizzles out. So what cause our faith to stall out during those critical times? Well many things! We can become discouraged when we don't see the manifestations of God's promise come to pass on our time watch. Doubt, unbelief, and worry will cause your faith to fade away. The lies of the enemy and others he uses to bring negativity will also affect your faith.
     But guess what there is good news, you can reignite your faith! Just like my paw paw went to get the pine wood to cause the fire to blaze again. God has given us some spiritual wood to rekindle our fire! Prayer, Praise, Worship, and the Word! I guarantee if you apply these your faith will go to another level! It is time for your faith to start burning again!
