Hands Up!!!!

Hands Up! Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. (Psalms 63:4)      This morning as I was standing in the kitchen pouring my coffee and watching the rain fall from the sky I heard the voice of the Lord say unto me, “lift up your hands!” The lifting of the hands is a sign of surrender and reverence. If the police were to stop you their first response would be for you to get out of the car and lift your hands. The purpose of lifting your hands indicates to the police you are in agreement and will not try anything tricky. It also shows you are not hiding anything. This same principle applies in the spiritual realm as well.      So many times as believers and non-believers we try to be so strong when we are faced with various test and trails in life. It is during these times of storm that we truly begin to realize our natural strength often fails us. Proverbs 3;5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with al...

A New Destination

Each December my husband and I sit down and set our goals for the upcoming year. We set goals for the ministry, our marriage, our finances, and personal goals as well.  Our goals for our marriage for 2018 included taking a vacation each quarter of this year. Our vacation destinations include Bahamas, Myrtle Beach and possibly Las Vegas or Destin, Florida. Earlier this week during a general conversation my husband reminded me I needed to firm up our travel dates in order for him to place them on the calendar at work. As we continued to talk we began to solidify our travel plans and my husband made it apparently clear he did not want to go back to places we previously had traveled. So Las Vegas and Destin are OUT! Sometimes in life we find ourselves stuck in a perpetual cycle which leads us nowhere because we have not shifted our focus or mindset from the old. We find ourselves totally engrossed in a time that once was and we have parked with no intentions of moving. If we are trul...

God Ordained Opportunities and Overflow in 2018

A few weeks ago my husband and I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few items. As soon as we approached the double doors in front of the store they automatically opened. It is simply amazing how far we have come with modern technological advances. As we walked into the store the Holy Spirit gave me a revelation!. The doors automatically opened for you and gave you access to enter because of the steps you made towards them. In 2018 we will be presented with numerous opportunities which will allow us to gain access into doors which otherwise would have been closed to us. It is ultimately left up to us as individuals if we will walk in the opportunities awaiting us behind these doors. How many times can you recall being presented with an opportunity that you did not take only later to find you missed the moment of a lifetime. So many times we allow fear, doubt, past failures, and even other people to make us miss our blessing. In this season if we are going to walk full throttle into all God...

iGod Is Near and All You Need

iGod(My God) Is Near You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore .      Over the past few years the cellular phone industry has changed in a major way with the birth of the iPhone. Once the iPhone hit the market all other cellular phone companies had to go back to the drawing board and design a product which surpassed the iPhone introduced by Apple. Why was this phone so special? What capabilities did the iPhone posses that others did not offer? The main reason everyone switched from the current brand of cellular phone to iPhone was simple. One device was able to perform the task of many devices; it is so amazing how one thing has the power to alter the lives of so many. Our God, the iGod has the power to transform the lives of all who seek him.      There is something about iGod! There is an indescribable feeling that comes over me when I begin to focus my ent...

Walk In

The other day I was driving along the highway and I noticed a marquee at the dentist office which stated the days and times walk-ins are welcome. As I was asleep I heard The Lord say walk in and he allowed my mind to roll back to the marquee. See on somedays you need an appointment to see the dentist but there are other days if you have a need you can still have it met all you need to do us just walk in. Others may have an appointment they made weeks ago and you just walked in. I am getting excited. There are some blessings, some opportunities, and some doors God is just going to allow us like the dentist to walk into. Our background, education, or money may say we are not in a position to obtain it but God says my favor said it is so! God is about to breathe on someone's purpose and plan. You've been wondering how its was going to happen because you have exhausted all of your strategies to get it done. The favor you thought you had did not work, but God says because yo...

Take It By Force

Take It By Force uHave you ever watched a television show where the police were attempting to arrest someone. Some of the persons the police attempt to arrest are non-compliant, unruly, and just plain out of order. In law terms this act is referred to as resisting arrest. When offenders will not cooperate with law enforcement officials they sometimes utilize tactics such as a tazer gun or even pepper spray to gain their control and diffuse the situation.  If the officer fails to apprehend the suspect there is a great possibility that some unwanted repercussions may occur. But the officer will not relent until the suspect is in full custody, even if back up must be called. Now that is persistent! The Word of God tells us that the kingdom of God sufferers violence but the violent take it by force. There are some doors, some opportunities, some blessings that the devil will not simply allow you to walk in at ease. It is during these times that we must become radical and persistent in...

Delayed But Still Destined

Delayed But Still Destined On yesterday I left my hotel in Indiana at 11:30 expecting to board a plane at 4:22 which would take me into Hotlanta! I waited patiently with my travel companions laughing, talking, and sharing. As the four o'clock hour approached the captain made an announcement informing us our flight would be delayed due to thunderstorms in Atlanta. Needless to say there were several more delays due to the weather. I almost missed my connecting flight to Baton Rouge. We experienced storms during both of our initial descents, but an hour later than my original destination time I had reached my final stop. I was delayed but I  arrived! Somebody on this morning you have experienced setbacks, roadblocks, detours, and road closures, BUT your destination is still promised! All the turbulence we experienced  along the way prepares us to maintain once we arrive at our destination, God never promised us we would not have trials and tribulations, but he did say for us to ...
