A New Destination

Each December my husband and I sit down and set our goals for the upcoming year. We set goals for the ministry, our marriage, our finances, and personal goals as well.  Our goals for our marriage for 2018 included taking a vacation each quarter of this year. Our vacation destinations include Bahamas, Myrtle Beach and possibly Las Vegas or Destin, Florida. Earlier this week during a general conversation my husband reminded me I needed to firm up our travel dates in order for him to place them on the calendar at work. As we continued to talk we began to solidify our travel plans and my husband made it apparently clear he did not want to go back to places we previously had traveled. So Las Vegas and Destin are OUT!

Sometimes in life we find ourselves stuck in a perpetual cycle which leads us nowhere because we have not shifted our focus or mindset from the old. We find ourselves totally engrossed in a time that once was and we have parked with no intentions of moving. If we are truly going to embrace every God ordained opportunity that God has already made available for our lives we have a decision to make. We must decide that we will not allow our past, pain, problems, or people  keep us locked into our present condition. Our new lies in front of us, but we must ultimately decide if we are ready to leave the old behind. Once we make up our mind to step out of this process we open ourselves up to a whole new realm of endless possibilities.  Your new destination is ahead!

I want to tell someone by the spirit of the living God that where you are headed is not even worthy to be compared with where you currently are in life or have been in the past. Our today, tomorrow, and beyond is brighter than our yesterday. Just like my husband made the decision that he did not want to travel to any places we had formerly been. It is time for us to decide I am ready to live my life in a new place.

New places and ventures can be scary, but oh so rewarding! It is never easy to walk away from the familiar and walk in the unfamiliar, but what you are willing to walk away from determines what you are willing to walk into. I am putting on my shoes now because I am ready to go! Come join me!

Faith Under Fire

I can remember like it was yesterday standing in front of the fireplace to warm my hand and legs on a cold winter day. My grandfather would always have the den warm and toasty for us when we came in from outside playing. Our family would sit in the den for hours and watch the fire and listen to it crackle. Sometimes the the fire would die down, but my paw paw had a remedy for that. Just outside the door he kept a wheelbarrow with some pine wood which he used to ignite the fire again. In a matter of seconds the fire would be backing burning fierce.      And sometimes our faith is just like my grandfather's fire, extremely hot and it slowly fizzles out. So what cause our faith to stall out during those critical times? Well many things! We can become discouraged when we don't see the manifestations of God's promise come to pass on our time watch. Doubt, unbelief, and worry will cause your faith to fade away. The lies of the enemy and others he uses to bring ne...

Hands Up!!!!

Hands Up! Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. (Psalms 63:4)      This morning as I was standing in the kitchen pouring my coffee and watching the rain fall from the sky I heard the voice of the Lord say unto me, “lift up your hands!” The lifting of the hands is a sign of surrender and reverence. If the police were to stop you their first response would be for you to get out of the car and lift your hands. The purpose of lifting your hands indicates to the police you are in agreement and will not try anything tricky. It also shows you are not hiding anything. This same principle applies in the spiritual realm as well.      So many times as believers and non-believers we try to be so strong when we are faced with various test and trails in life. It is during these times of storm that we truly begin to realize our natural strength often fails us. Proverbs 3;5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with al...

iGod Is Near and All You Need

iGod(My God) Is Near You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore .      Over the past few years the cellular phone industry has changed in a major way with the birth of the iPhone. Once the iPhone hit the market all other cellular phone companies had to go back to the drawing board and design a product which surpassed the iPhone introduced by Apple. Why was this phone so special? What capabilities did the iPhone posses that others did not offer? The main reason everyone switched from the current brand of cellular phone to iPhone was simple. One device was able to perform the task of many devices; it is so amazing how one thing has the power to alter the lives of so many. Our God, the iGod has the power to transform the lives of all who seek him.      There is something about iGod! There is an indescribable feeling that comes over me when I begin to focus my ent...
